I would love to tell you how to tie your scarves 50 different ways, but I am “knot” an expert. I barely earned the badge in Cub Scouts, if you can believe it. What I can tell you is that you can learn how to tie scarves, in a million different ways, simply by visiting YouTube. During our photo shoots at Eden Shell, we have been playing around with different ways to wear the scarves and more specifically, where to place the scarf other than just around your neck.
Have you ever noticed how well scarves and straw seem to go together? Straw hats, straw purses or bags….you name it, and a scarf will spice it up! Imagine how amazing the square scarves look tied onto a purse or bag. Can you picture the oblong scarves wrapped beautifully around a large straw hat which creates a completely different look? Additionally, the oblong scarves can be used as a sarong around the waist, either for the beach, pool, or just to liven up an outfit. Something else we have noticed is the fluid movement created by the scarves outside in the wind. They naturally flow, much like the nearby waters while we photograph on the beach, inlets, or rivers.
What has been new to us is the use of scarf magnets to hold the scarves securely, either for a photograph or daily wear. The magnets are such a simple idea and truly better than bulky knots or pins that can damage the delicate fabric.
So give it a shot! Have fun with our Eden Shell scarves! Try wearing a scarf in a new exciting way other than simply around your neck. We know you will hear wonderful comments! Tag us on Instagram using #shopedenshell! We would LOVE to see how you wear your Eden Shell.
